As with many travel businesses, Urban Adventure Quest’s smartphone guided scavenger hunt adventures came to a screeching halt when most of the country stayed at home. To keep everyone entertained, Urban Adventure Quest created FREE virtual tours to be played at home. The response was terrific. “Loved the Virtual Texas game…Can’t wait until I can do one in person.” “I love your quests and am super excited you’re doing free versions for quarantine.”
Now, with cities opening back up, we are ready to get back to business. Our Quests combine mobile technology and outdoor adventure to provide a fun way to safely explore a city. Part game, part city walking tour, an Urban Adventure Quest scavenger hunt navigates players through a destination city as their team solves clues and completes challenges, while seeing the sights and learning local history. The entire tour is guided from the player’s smart phone. No tour guides, no groups of people. Your team is made up of your family unit only. You play on your schedule, at your own pace. Team size is two to five people, and each person can play on their own phone.
Tours typically last two to three hours and include approximately 2 miles of walking, making a Quest a great way to get in a little exercise while having some fun. All route directions, hints and game information are provided to participants through the internet on their smart phone. Urban Adventure Quests reminds participants to follow all local guidelines while playing our game, such as physical distancing and wearing a mask.
There are over 70 different Quest locations across the U.S. with some cities having more than one Quest. Whether enjoying a Quest for the fun of the game or simply as a way to get outside and explore a city, Urban Adventure Quest will allow those who participate a chance to experience a city in a whole new way.
